The brand goes back to 1977 when, Luigi and Miriam Stolfi, founded their first company JACOB. They both came from small family-run businesses in Prato, one of the most important textile manufacturing centers in Italy. Thanks to the technological skills of Luigi and the creative of Miriam, they began to develop fabrics and eventually found their real passion in the design and creation of scarves.

In the meantime they had two daughters, who were the exact opposites, Donatella, the blond hair blue eyed perfectionist, and the impulsive, exuberant Nicoletta with her dark curly hair and brown eyes. Both of their University degrees were creative, Nicoletta in Architecture and Donatella in Art and Design, a winning combination.

Both girls ended up collaborating in the family business. Donatella, with her natural talent for fashion trends, came up with the innovative ideas which Nicoletta transformed into graphic elements sketches and designs ready for the production.

This collaboration led to the creation of a new brand: GIULIA BIONDI, named after their beloved grandmother.

MADE IN ITALY is their focus, all collections are designed, weaved and finished from the yarn to the packaging, in Italy. During the manufacturing process, using traditional Italian techniques, the creativity and attention, aim to achieve elegance, style and softness. The combination of colors, shades and patterns is the reflection of the talent which comes natural from simply being Italian: “… we love Italy, its landscapes, colors, traditions, architecture, are our faithful, stimulant companions when we design a new collection…” The aim of the brand is to turn a natural high quality yarn into a unique fashion accessory to enhance the beauty of those who wear it.
